Due to the war situation, the villagers fled, causing the temple to be abandoned. Later, in the early Rattanakosin period, during the reign of King Rama III, "Chao Sua Phuk" or Phra Boribunthanakorn, a wealthy Chinese merchant (Phraya Choduk Rajasetthi (Phuk Sae Tan), the ancestor of the Chotikapukkana family) came to restore and renovate, starting with the restoration of the ordination hall first. The ordination hall has a curved shape similar to the hull of a Chinese junk. It is a blend of Thai architecture. Inside, there are Chinese paintings that were painted by a painter from China on all four walls, arranged in sections, showing auspicious objects for worship in Mahayana Buddhism, according to the beliefs of the ancient Chinese.
