Chiang Khan Walking Street (Chai Khong Road) along the Mekong River in Loei Province is one of the landmarks that should not be missed when visiting.
The buildings on both sides are old wooden houses. Carved from over 100 years ago, alternating with restaurants, cafes, souvenir shops, handmade products, etc. The walking street is over 1.2–2 km long. The road is closed for pedestrians and shops are open every evening, starting from around 16:00–17:00 until around 22:00. Some sources report that it starts at 15–16, and some say that it will be active until 22:30.
