Pay homage to Luang Por Ong Saen at Wat Phra That Choeng Chum Worawihan, the sacred Buddha image of Sakon Nakhon. Every year, the annual procession of the wax castle is held, a significant event during the end of Buddhist Lent. This dedication is dedicated to Phra That Choeng Chum. Inside the ordination hall, there are beautiful murals.
The temple's highlight is Phra That Choeng Chum, built over the footprints of four Buddhas who once resided there. This is where the name "Choeng Chum," meaning "the gathering of Buddha footprints," comes from. The chedi is a brick and mortar chedi approximately 24 meters high, with a square base and a beautiful lotus-shaped spire.
In addition to the chedi itself, the viharn houses Luang Por Ong Saen, a sacred Buddha image in the Mara-Vijaya posture, highly revered by the locals. It is believed that paying homage and making a wish will bring blessings. Will achieve success in your wishes.
