Wat Pongsanuk Nuea is another important temple in Lampang Province. It is an ancient temple built in 1223 or about 1,300 years ago. It is the enshrined first pillar of the city of Khelang Nakhon. It also collects many valuable cultural and artistic items and has received the Award of Merit from UNESCO.
