Huai Krathing Reservoir is located in Mueang District and is under the care of Harirak Forest Park. It is a reservoir covering an area of ​​over 1,500 rai and is beautifully surrounded by green forests.

Beautiful scenery: Huai Krathing Reservoir is a large earthen dam reservoir covering an area of ​​approximately 1,500 rai, surrounded by high and low mountains and lush green bamboo forests, creating a shady and cool atmosphere.
Bamboo rafting: A highlight activity that cannot be missed is bamboo rafting to view the scenery around the reservoir. There are rafts of various sizes available. You can order food and drinks to eat on the raft. It is suitable for relaxing, socializing with friends or coming as a family.
There are many restaurants on the raft, such as Pa Puean Phong and Pa Phai Ngam, where you can order food before getting on the raft. And there will be a rowboat to deliver food to the raft.
The rafting service fee will vary depending on the size of the raft and the number of people (e.g. a small raft for no more than 4 people costs around 200 baht, a medium raft for no more than 10 people costs around 300 baht). Some shops may charge an additional fee if you stay beyond the specified time.
On the raft, there will be life jackets, pillows, mats, and trash cans. You can swim (the water is deep, so you should wear a life jacket).
Biking: The dam is over 800 meters long. You can rent a bicycle to ride and enjoy the cool breeze.

Huai Krathing Reservoir is about 15-17 kilometers from Loei city.
From Loei city: Take Highway No. 21 (Loei-Phu Ruea or Loei-Dan Sai Road) for about 15-17 kilometers until you reach kilometer 399. You will find a three-way intersection with a pavilion. Turn right onto Rural Highway No. 2010 and go straight for another 4-5 kilometers to reach Huai Krathing Reservoir.
