Tourist attraction: Phana District City Pillar Shrine | Amnat Charoen
The Phana District City Pillar Shrine houses the city pillar, a symbol of the city's founding. The shrine is a bright red Thai-style structure, surrounded by a wall reminiscent of the city's past.
Construction began in 2011 and reflects the long history of Phana Nikhom, which dates back to before 1688.
Phana District also has other interesting nearby attractions, including: Wat Phra Lao Thep Nimit: This temple houses the Phra Lao Thep Nimit, said to be the most beautiful Buddha image in the Northeast.
Dong Ling Don Chao Pu Park: This is a place where you can find numerous monkeys and a shrine to the revered spirit of the locals.
