Phra Borommathat Nadun Phra That Subdistrict | Maha Sarakham Province

Phra Borommathat Na Dun is a sacred site built to bring prosperity to the Isan region and is a place of worship for locals. It is modeled after a bronze stupa containing the Buddha's relics. The base is in the Dvaravati style and decorated with beautiful lotus patterns around the Phra Borommathat Na Dun.
Don't miss a visit to pay respects at Phra Borommathat Na Dun, the Buddhist Monthon of Isan, a sacred landmark of Maha Sarakham Province. This area was once the site of Nakhon Champasri, and numerous artifacts have been excavated, which are now on display at the Khon Kaen National Museum.
Located in Maha Sarakham Province, it is a symbol of the "Buddhist Monthon of Isan" and a center of Buddhism and culture. The Phra Borommathat Stupa was constructed in 1985-1986 to enshrine the Buddha's relics found in ancient Dvaravati stupas. The stupa's design is modeled after a bronze stupa, and its base incorporates Dvaravati art. Surrounding the pagoda is a spacious area, housing the Champasri Cultural Museum, an arboretum, and a herbal garden.
