Wat Bang Phli Yai Nai, formerly known as Wat Phlap Phla Chai Chan Songkhram, is located on the banks of the Samrong Canal. This ancient temple dates back to the Rattanakosin period and was built to commemorate King Naresuan the Great's victory over the Burmese. Inside the ubosot (ordination hall) is a large Sukhothai-era Buddha image in the Mara-Vijaya posture, known as Luang Pho To, a sacred Buddha image revered by locals.

It is enshrined as the principal Buddha image in the ubosot (ordination hall). It is highly revered and is the source of its popular nickname, "Wat Luang Pho To."
Legend has it that it is one of the "Three Brothers" (Buddhas) who floated downstream, along with Luang Pho Sothon in Chachoengsao Province and Luang Pho Wat Ban Laem in Samut Songkhram Province. The image of Luang Por To floated down the Samrong Canal and was enshrined at this temple.
The Lotus Receiving Ceremony, a unique tradition passed down through the ages of the Bang Phli people, is held annually from the 11th to the 14th of the waxing moon of the 11th lunar month. Villagers carry a replica of the image of Luang Por To onto a boat and parade it along the river. People along the riverside toss lotus flowers into the boat as a sign of respect.

Bang Phli Ancient Floating Market: The temple is located along the Samrong Canal and connects to the 100-year-old Bang Phli Ancient Floating Market, a popular destination for souvenirs, delicious food, and riverside lifestyle. Visitors can also enjoy a leisurely stroll through the area.

Public Transport:
BTS: Take the BTS to Samrong Station and then take a Samrong-Bang Phli songthaew (buses stop near Sukhumvit Soi 113) to the temple.
Bus/Van: There are several public transport lines that pass near the temple, including lines 1142, 1145, 1205, and 1217.
