Phra Borommathat Sri Nakarindra Sathit Maha Santikiri, Mae Fah Luang @ChiangRai | Chiang Rai
1,500 meters above sea level, 4 kilometers from Santi Khiri Village, completed in 1996 to honor Her Majesty Queen Sri Nakarindra (Somdej Ya)
It is a modified Lanna style on a square base with a step-down level, 30 meters high, designed by Mom Rajawongse Mitrarun Kasemsri, an architect of the Royal Palace, adapted from Phra That Kopka, Wat Pa Sak, Chiang Saen District, Chiang Rai Province. It is divided into 3 floors. The first floor enshrines a life-size bronze statue of Somdej Ya, dressed in full regalia, sitting on a royal throne. The second floor contains Somdej Ya's royal ashes.
The pagoda has a modified Lanna-style viharn, which is the location of the Phra Borommathat, which is the highest point of the Doi Mae Salong mountain range. This is a very beautiful viewpoint.
At Wat Santi Khiri, a beautiful temple in Chiang Rai, pay homage to the pagoda and enjoy the beautiful view of Doi Mae Salong
