Phichit has to be the first to visit Phichit Old City Park, a historical attraction. Built during the reign of Phraya Khotbong in 1601 CE, it is an ancient city with city walls, moats, and old chedis. Today, it has been transformed into an arboretum for relaxation.
About 7 kilometers from Phichit city, this historical site is believed to be the site of the old city of Phichit, built during the reign of Phraya Khotbong around 1601 CE.
History and Significance
This ancient city is surrounded by city walls and a moat, covering an area of approximately 400-640 rai.
The park contains important archaeological remains, such as the city walls, moats, and old chedis.
A City Pillar Shrine was built in 1977 CE, housing a statue of Phraya Khotbong, known locally as "Grandfather"
Some sources indicate that Phichit's old city was likely founded during the reign of King Borommatrailokanat of Ayutthaya.

Wat Mahathat: This is an important historical site within the park, with archaeological evidence indicating its founding in the 18th Buddhist century.
