Ku Phanna or Prasat Khmer Phanna (Prasat Ku Phanna), Phanna Subdistrict | Sakon Nakhon Province
“Ku Phanna” is an important ancient site, built around the 18th Buddhist century during the reign of King Jayavarman VII of the Khmer Empire. It was intended to be used as an “Arokayasala” or community hospital. The temple is a single-spired building with a rectangular base, constructed of laterite. Nearby is a square pond built with layers of laterite, which still contains water throughout the year.
