Tourist Attraction: Wat Phumrin Kutithong, Amphawa District | Samut Songkhram

Wat Phumrin Kutithong is a Theravada Buddhist temple belonging to the Mahayana sect.
Located on the north bank of the Mae Klong River, at the mouth of Khlong Pracha Chom Chuen, Suan Luang Subdistrict, Amphawa District, Samut Songkhram Province, it is an important tourist attraction in the province, featuring historical sites, artifacts, and sacred objects within the temple.
Origin of the Name: The name "Kuti Thong" comes from a large teak house built by the father of Queen Amarinthramat (the Queen Consort of King Rama I), which originally resided in the temple.
Relocation of Kuti Thong: When the original temple was destroyed by flooding, Kuti Thong was moved and merged with Wat Phumrin, and the name was changed to "Wat Phumrin Kutithong." It was later restored by the Fine Arts Department.
Highlights and Points of Interest: Kuti Thong (Museum)
An ancient teak Thai house, currently displaying artifacts, antique pottery, and Buddha images from the early Rattanakosin period.
Main Chapel and Buddha Image: Enshrining "Phra Phuttha Rattanamongkol" and an ancient replica of the Buddha's footprint. Music House: A center for learning Thai music and practicing puppetry for youth. Riverside Viewpoint: A shady atmosphere along the banks of the Mae Klong River, with a community market during weekends.
Inside the "Kutithong Teak House" is considered the location of "Wat Phumrin Kutithong" on the banks of the Mae Klong River and the Khlong Bang Li canal. If you visit Samut Songkhram Province and don't visit Wat Phumrin, you'll definitely miss an opportunity.
