Wat Nang Nong Worawihan Chom Thong District @Bangkok | Bangkok

Take a pilgrimage to Wat Nang Nong Worawihan in Bangkok
Wat Nang Nong Worawihan is an ancient temple. There is no evidence of its construction, but it is assumed that it has been around since the Ayutthaya period, around the time of King Sua (Khun Luang Sorasak) around the year (2245–2252 B.E.)
During the reign of King Rama III of the Rattanakosin period in 2375 B.E., he ordered a major task to demolish the old and renovate the entire temple, as can be seen from the royal art style in the ordination hall and the twin chapels. And because Bang Nang Nong District was originally the residence of Somdet Phra Sri Sulalai or Chao Chom Manda Riam, the mother of King Nang Klao, who later moved across the river to live in the area of Wat Nang, he restored Wat Nang Nong because his mother believed that the royal art style of King Nang Klao was an art style that imitated Chinese art. The renovation took several years to complete and was established as a royal temple. King Nangklao ordered the ceremony of tying the boundary markers of the ordination hall in 1841.
