Wat Nang Chi Chotikaram temple at Thonburi side | Bangkok

Wat Nang Chi Chotikaram, a beautiful temple in Bangkok, travel on the Thonburi side, an ancient temple from the middle Ayutthaya period
Wat Nang Chi Chotikaram, a temple of the reclining Buddha in Bangkok, is believed to have been built in the middle Ayutthaya period. Legend has it that Chao Phraya Phichitchaimontri had a daughter named Im who was sick for an unknown reason and could not be cured. A white-robed nun came to him in a dream and made him make a vow to cure his daughter by having her daughter ordain as a nun. When Im recovered, Chao Phraya Phichitchaimontri had his daughter ordain as a nun and built this temple. Later, in the late Ayutthaya period during the reign of King Borommakot, this temple became deserted.
As for the name Wat Nang Chi, there is a story that at the end of the reign of King Rama I, the royal family had a conflict. Somdech Phra Rupsi Sophak Mahanaknarin, the mother of Queen Amarindra during the reign of King Rama I, became a nun and renovated the temple, which is the origin of the name Wat Nang Chi.
