Upakut Temple in Chiang Mai, worship Upakut Temple, a famous temple | Chiang Mai
Wat Upakut is a temple of the Mahanikaya sect, located in Chang Klan Subdistrict, Mueang Chiang Mai District, Chiang Mai Province. The temple's name is based on Phra Upakut or Phra Buakhem, a monk during the reign of King Ashoka the Great. The temple was founded around 2300 and received royal charter in 2456. Inside, there is a chapel enshrining Phra Upakut.
