Wat Phra Phutthachai is a second-class royal temple, Worawihan type, located at the foot of Khao Pathavi (Khao Pathavi) in Nong Pla Lai Subdistrict, Mueang District, Saraburi Province. It is an ancient temple of historical significance and revered by many Buddhists.
History and Significance
Wat Phra Phutthachai was built during the reign of King Songtham of Ayutthaya and is over 400 years old. The discovery of this temple stemmed from Songtham's desire to search for Buddha footprints in various mountains. He discovered the "Phra Phutthachai" or "Buddha's Shadow," a vague image resembling a standing Buddha image on a cliff face. A footprint of the Buddha on the right side of the mountain was also discovered.

Phra Phuttha Chai: The temple's highlight is the image of the Buddha's footprint on a stone slab at the cliff face. A pavilion has been built over it for Buddhists to worship.
