Wat Lokayasutha, Phra Nakhon Si Ayutthaya
Wat Lokayasutha is located in Tambon Pratu Chai, Amphoe Phra Nakhon Si Ayutthaya, Phra Nakhon Si Ayutthaya Province. It is located near the Royal Palace and Wat Phra Si Sanphet, which were the center of the Ayutthaya Kingdom. This makes this temple another important temple in Ayutthaya. This temple also has another name, Wat Phra Non. Inside the temple, there is the largest reclining Buddha in Ayutthaya. This temple is mentioned in history as the route of the royal procession of Somdet Phra Borommakot. The large white reclining Buddha is 42 meters long and 8 meters high. Although it is a very old reclining Buddha, it is still in perfect condition. The face is radiant and happy. The base of the head is a lotus pedestal. This reclining Buddha is a tourist attraction for both Thais and foreigners. In addition, there are large ancient ruins and the main prang with a 30-meter-high pagoda as the main pagoda of the temple. This makes this temple suitable for those who love history. The reclining Buddha is a legacy left over from the war.
